Intermittent fasting is an everyday thing for most household pets. The food is there, they get hungry, but there is not much our pets can do to self serve that food unless we feed them. For my cat it is mind boggling, he performs intermittent fasting daily without a choice; he fasts 4 to 5hours a day while I am at work. For most of us it has become an unknown custom. After work we go to our homes, relax, feed our pets and ourselves—my day-to-day custom.

 

Fasting works many ways

My cat hates it, but fasting is healthy for him. Besides, I eat no more than he does. We eat together at the same time every day, so it has become typical for us living this way. Except for one thing, it is more apparent in me than my cat, the fat cells are very comfortable in my body; they don't understand they are not welcome. I'm going to have to kick them out by force.

 

I have wanted to learn how to fast. I think about my cat that has been fasting intermittently the past five years. I feed him before I leave for work, then for 5 to six hours he eats nothing, fasting until I get home. He looks good and he is in sound health. He's not fat or skinny. He is fit and active

It takes discipline to go on fast and follow through. So I thought what if the role was reverse. I know this is Fantasy talk. My cat would never force fasting on me and put foods in places I could not get them.

 

How to fast for beginners
